Can I put embed codes on email?
You cannot use any type of embed codes on email but there is an alternative. Here's what we can do:
Customize the look and feel of your feed using SociableKIT.
Take a screenshot of this customized feed and put it as an image on your email.
Put a link to that image. You can link it to the feed embedded on your website.
When users click on that social feed image, they will see the actual feed on your website.
Why embed codes does not work on email?
It is because of limitations of email as described here.
SociableKIT can generate JavaScript and iFrame embed codes for your website only. Those embed codes are blocked by nearly all major email clients. Support is either extremely limited, or nonexistent.
JavaScript is a programming language that makes web content interactive. It's common in websites, but the vast majority of email clients block scripts since they can hide malicious content. That's why our JavaScript embed code will not work.
An iFrame (inline frame) is an HTML element that embeds content from one website into another. Inline frames are often used to insert advertisements, video, audio, or forms in other websites. iFrame often contain scripts, so most email clients block them as well.
