What is a widget type?

A widget type refers to the category of widget you’re using — not how many you created.

For example, if you created 3 Google reviews widgets and 5 LinkedIn page posts widgets, you have 8 widgets total, but only 2 widget types: Google reviews and LinkedIn page posts.

In most cases, your number of widget types and data source types will be the same.
