Sources vs. Widgets
SociableKIT allows you to create unlimited widgets on paid plans. This means you can embed as many widgets as you need on your website to display social media feeds, reviews, job listings, and other content.
However, while the number of widgets is unlimited, the number of sources connected to those widgets depends on your plan.
A source is the location where SociableKIT retrieves the content that will appear in your widget. Each source counts separately because our system connects directly to that platform or feed to fetch the data.
Examples of sources:
- An Instagram profile and a Twitter profile are considered two different sources because they come from different platforms.
- LinkedIn page posts and LinkedIn page jobs are considered two separate sources even if they come from the same LinkedIn page. One source retrieves posts, while the other retrieves job listings.
- Google Business posts and Google reviews are also treated as different sources, even if they belong to the same Google Business profile.
Because of this setup, you can create multiple widgets using the same source without using additional sources. However, if you want to display content from different accounts, platforms, or feed types, each one will count as a new source.
How sources and unlimited widgets work together:
- You can create unlimited widgets on your website.
- Widgets can reuse the same source multiple times.
- Each new account, platform, or widget type counts as an additional source.
- If you need more sources, you can avail of our Sources Add-on. For more details, you may refer to this article: How to add more sources?
This system gives you the flexibility to build as many widgets as your website needs while managing how many data sources are connected to your account.
