# What is credit balance?

The **credit balance** on your subscription plan is the amount or money that you have on your subscription plan. You will only have a credit balance when you downgrade your plan to a lower priced subscription plan.

Here's an example:

1. You are currently subscribed to our **Business Plan - Yearly** plan that costs **US$400.00** every 1 year.
2. You have decided to downgrade your plan to the **Pro Plan - Yearly** plan that only costs **US$100.00** every 1 year.
3. The **Business Plan - Yearly** plan is a lower priced subscription plan than **Pro Plan - Yearly** and the difference is **US$300.00**.

This means your SociableKIT subscription plan will have a **credit balance** of **US$300.00** because of the differences in pricing. However, you can use the credit balance for your next payment or we can process a refund of your credit balance by reaching out to our support team.
